As you can see from the lack of change in my hair, I didn't end up doing that hair modeling job for Sassoon over the weekend. I think I also neglected to mention that I got that job I was interviewing for a couple of weeks ago. Yay! I started last week and everything is going great so far. You probably won't be seeing a ton of outfit posts from me until it starts staying light out later though. I work normal office hours every weekday, so that makes it difficult to take photos. For now, I'll stick to documenting my weekend wear.
Every now and again certain museums here in LA do free admission weekends, and this past weekend was one of them. Matt and I headed over to LACMA to see some art on Sunday. We've been meaning to check this museum out ever since we moved here, so this was a good excuse to get us there! We mostly just looked at the post-1900 section. They have a really nice collection! Now we just have to go back sometime before the end of June to check out the Stanley Kubrick exhibit. You had to pay the normal admission to see that over the weekend and we really just wanted to pop in while it was free and get a feel for the museum.

I am so jealous of your tights! The color on those babies is perfectly awesome! Great outfit. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the bright red color of these tights too! Thanks!
DeleteFirst off, congrats on the new job! Huzzah! Second, I really like those retro glasses. I've always wanted to get something like that, but I have a big head and I'm afraid they would just look ridiculous on me. Haha. Oh and I love your shirt dress! I'm really into shirt dresses this year, because there's just so much you can do with them thanks to that complete button down feature. I think the stark color blocking really jazzed it up here!

Thanks! I got the sunglasses from H&M about 10 years ago (can't believe they're still in one piece)!
DeleteLove the look. The sunnies play so nicely with the gingham...and the tights are just the right pop! Visiting from Thrifters Anon link up.
ReplyDeleteI agree, these red tights are always a good choice with a b&w outfit :)
DeleteNothing cooler than a scuffed combat boot. Found your blog through the hop, really glad I did!

Thanks, Ariane! Good luck with your continuing job search! I still haven't been to San Francisco...you'll have to tell me about all the great thrift stores you find so that I can visit them when I finally make it there.
