Whatcha Wearing?
Dress from American Eagle Outfitters
Free People vest from Crossroads Trading Co
Leather cuff from Beacon's Closet
Bag from St Vincent de Paul
Altama Army boots from Goodwill
So this is strange...I'm not wearing anything vintage in this outfit. That doesn't happen very often!
We just got back from NYC last night, and while it's good to be home, I wish we would have had more time to spend with our friends while visiting. It was a bit of a whirlwind trip. Oh well, I should focus on the positive. We got to see our friends' brand new baby, have happy hour with a big group of people I've been missing ever since I moved, and eat some of our favorite Brooklyn foods. Not too bad for less than three days there. Also, the weather was just perfect, so we spent plenty of time walking around outside, one of my favorite NYC activities!
It's funny that I never thought to take outfit photos while waiting for the subway when I lived there because it turns out it makes for a great setting. As an added bonus, the station was pretty empty since we were in Park Slope in the early afternoon on a Monday...and the G train showed up as soon as we were finished shooting. Way to go G train! (Those who have never lived in Brooklyn won't understand what a feat it is for the G train to do anything you want it to do.)

I love the dark floral and that edgy vest together! It really makes me feel like autumn is here. And that location is the perfect place for these outfit photos. Thanks so much for linking up for Thrifter Thursday!

The vest feels very Stevie Nicks to me, so pairing it with dark florals just seemed perfect. Now I have to figure out what else it goes with in my closet!
DeleteThis is a really cool photo location! Love your floral and vest paired together. The boots are the perfect compliment to the outfit.
ReplyDeleteYeah, with the curved track in the background, it just seemed right!

The sequins on the back really sealed the deal for me and I had to have it!
DeleteThese pics have to be one of the most interesting, and by interesting I mean awesome, backgrounds :-) I love the details on the vest.

Thanks so much! NYC is good at offering interesting/awesome locations :)
DeleteHow cute are you? AND YOUR HAIR! Seriously, I want to chop mine so bad now. Your pictures are like pro too.
ReplyDeleteChopping your hair short is one of the best feelings ever (in my opinion). Just make sure you trust your stylist to know what will work for you!
