Whatcha Wearing?
Dress from H&M / Shoes from Daffy's / Sunglasses from Target
Hat from Venice Beach Boardwalk / Bracelets from Olvera Street market and a garage sale

I wore this to the farmers market last Sunday and planned to post it last week, but things got busy, so here we are a week later! I bought this dress about six years ago at H&M and haven't been wearing it much the past couple of years. It was really warm out last weekend, so that seemed like a good excuse to bust it out. H&M has such trendy, throw-away fashion that it's funny when you end up holding onto something this long. I remember that EVERYONE had this dress the summer it came out. I would walk through Greenpoint on any given warm day and count at least two people sporting it. It's nice to be able to wear it now and be the only one!

I have some cute new, perfect for fall items that were added to my Etsy shop this weekend! I can just imagine someone using that wool houndstooth vest as part of an Annie Hall costume for Halloween. The best part? It's totally wearable for everyday too! It would be an excellent addition to any fall wardrobe. It's a bit strange to be posting fall items when it's just now super hot in LA. I still find myself getting into the autumn mood though, since stores are already selling Halloween stuff. That reminds me...I need to find a costume for myself! Any ideas?

Whatcha Wearing?
Shoes c/o Sole Provisions / Tank top from American Apparel
Vintage skirt and Banana Republic vest from Goodwill
Sunglasses from H&M / Vintage hat from Atlantis Attic

Those who know me know that I'm not one to put fashion in front of comfort when it comes to shoes. Moving to NYC will do that to a girl. When you spend a lot of time walking around a city, you want to look good and not get blisters at the same time. Although I live in LA now, land of driving that it is, I still make sure that each pair of shoes I wear are easy to walk in. Don't get me wrong, they have to look great too, but I don't want to be that person hobbling around because her shoes are ridiculous. So when Sole Provisions contacted me to do a review, I jumped at the chance. I was in the market for some cute slip ons and I found exactly what I was looking for in these Vionic by Orthaheel sneakers. Plus they came in mustard which is one of my favorite accent colors for an outfit!

I have to be honest, I was excited when these shoes arrived, but when I put them on it felt like I was standing on tennis balls. These things don't mess around when it comes to arch support! This made me a bit worried that they wouldn't be comfortable to walk around in. I read the tag, and it suggested wearing them for a few hours at a time before committing to a full day of wear so that your foot can adjust to the "biomechanical orthotic". I guess those of us who aren't used to lots of arch support need some time to get acclimated to that feeling. I've worn them twice now, for a few hours each time, and I have to say that my feet are adjusting and I think they're going to be very comfortable in the long run. Plus they're going to look great with jeans come fall!

Whatcha Wearing?
Vintage dress from St Vincent de Paul / Vintage cardigan from Crossroads Trading Co
Vintage purse from Beit T'Shuvah Thrift Shop / Sunglasses from Nordstrom
Socks c/o We Love Colors / Cuff from H&M

I took these photos a few weeks ago before going to the farmers market on a Sunday morning, but never got around to posting them! First my cousin and her boyfriend were in town visiting and then Matt and I went to San Francisco, so I haven't really been thinking about the blog much lately. Anyway, these were taken when it was still not quite summery outside yet. Boy has that changed in the past couple of weeks. It's finally summer here in LA! I'll actually be heading off to the beach not long after posting this. Hopefully it's warm enough to get in the water. Fingers crossed!
